Multi-Engine Aircraft Training

Getting your multi-engine rating is often one of our students’ last ratings before making their way to the airlines. We use a Beechcraft Barron for our multi-engine program. This rating is where our students earn their complex and high-performance endorsements. The Barron is an excellent multi trainer. It is fast, safe, and efficient. The Barron prepares you to take on the challenges of flying a bigger, faster aircraft by helping you learn how to think farther ahead of the airplane.

Our multi-engine program is designed to do more than prepare you for a check ride. Our seasoned instructors have thousands of hours flying all kinds of aircraft ranging from F-4’s to 737’s. Our instructors will guide you through the program and help ensure that you have the skills needed to be a successful and safe multi-engine pilot. We use the Redbird AATD throughout the multi-engine program to cut down on cost and simulate procedures that we can’t do in the plane.

Part 61 and Part 141

Currently, we only offer a part 61 multi-engine training program. However, a part 141 program is on the way. Our current part 61 program uses the same structure that a part 141 program offers. Under part 61, multi-engine training is to proficiency rather than a set number of hours. We see most of our multi-engine students with around 13.2 hours.  However, we are actively currently working to lower that number.  Remember you will need at lest 25 hours total multiengine to get hired by airlines.
